This sweet and fun embroidery hoop will brighten your room and make you smile. The elegant reclining giraffe is a great decoration for a jungle-themed nursery or for an animal lover.

Framed in a 4 inch wooden embroidery hoop, I have embellished a giraffe-print fabric with embroidery floss and then mounted it on a complementary background fabric. I have deliberately left the edges "raw" with small unravelling threads in it, to give it a more untamed look. The back is finished with a felt circle hand-sewn in place to give the piece a finished look.
